I’m Shanelle and I’m a writer and all-around creative based in the New Jersey and New York City area.

After graduating from Syracuse University with a B.A. in Writing & Rhetoric, I got my start working for brands like InStyle Magazine and Allure.com. After leaving publishing, I pivoted into branded work as a Copywriter. As a writer, I strive to be an agent of change within the beauty and wellness realms by telling the stories of Black women and other underrepresented, marginalized communities that need to be heard.

Outside of work, you can find me nuzzled up in someone’s coffee shop, guzzling matcha lattes and working on my personal brand. I think as a millennial, I’m inherently always looking to create a vibe—aesthetics, good food and good music—so naturally, I enjoy interior decorating, testing the limits of my new air fryer, all while enjoying the soothing sounds of DMX.
